Courteney Cox
Courteney Cox is an American actress, director, and producer. She is best known for her character in the TV show "Friends" and in one of her main characters in the 'Scream' movie franchise. The actress was born in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting when she was a youngster. She decided to pursue a degree in architectural studies at Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC; however, she decided to leave her studies for a full-time acting profession. She made her film debut in the role in 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining popularity after she played one her most prominent parts in the horror slasher film 'Scream'. The film was extremely well-received commercially and earned 11 times the budget. Also, it was praised by public and critics. She reprised her performance in all the three sequels in the series. Her popularity reached highs when she took on an important role on the popular sitcom 'Friends'. Her performance was recognized with numerous nominations and awards for her performances. The show that was a massive success, aired for ten years. Some of her most recent roles include a part in the drama film "Mothers and daughters". The prizes she won include the TV Guide Award to honor the performance she made in 'Friends' and the Golden Derby Award for her role in the TV program 'Cougartown'.
