Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in the year 1980. Her parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Bell was raised and birthed in Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen found her talent in the world of entertainment when she was just a teenager. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell was accepted by her mother as an agent when she was 13 years old. Bell was later cast for newspaper ads and TV commercials. Also, she began private acting classes at that time. Bell was credited with a minor role as a character in Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a member of the drama and music club in Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she took home the role as Dorothy. Bell went to the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater in New York City. Bell quit university in 2001, and began taking on the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. That same year, she was in Pootie Tang however, the sequence in which she played the role was removed. This meant that there is only a credit sequence. In 2002, Bell appeared in the Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
