Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and performer who started her career through clever raps that tackled sexuality and racial identities with the most comical of perspectives. Her career then grew to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first musical experience. She played the trumpet. After a classical and jazz education, she delved into hip-hop as a teen. Following a focus on education, she was awarded a degree in journalism in the college as well as a women's studies degree. After graduating, it wasn't until that she shifted her focus to music. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits like body-positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC Bitche$. The track that was the last one to be closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide published in 2015. Apart from being a published author and a singer, she was also a professional as a performer. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors and Storks. In the year 2018, her breakout performances included Dude Ocean's 8, along with Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
